This wedding project was a branding campaign design project; It applies the message / concept through a range of media and applications, including: Invitation, Video, Signage, Advertisements, Corporate Identity, Posters and Environmental design (decoration of interior spaces of the venue).
Globalization has lead to greater western influences which have pushed Asia forward into today’s modern society. Fashion trends have become the way of life. We are constantly looking at the newest and latest trends. Younger generations have moved ahead; leaving virtues and their cultural roots behind.
Throughout this transition, the intention of this wedding project seeks to promote and emphasize on traditional Chinese culture heritage and how it can be reintroduce creatively into today’s society through design. Wedding not only marks the beginning of the new life and the blessing to the new couple, but it also represents the expanding ties between families, friends and other social elements from both the groom and the bride; which therefore makes this project creative, original and interesting.
“緣與圓, 不同詮釋”
Blessing, Harmony, Unity
以緣/圓二字闡述出中國人對於緣份，圓滿，圓融，源源不絕，融合之更深層意義。
此設計案以圓為設計元素，概念為圓代表圓融，天與地，氣息相合，宇宙萬物的意義。更代表新人向家人親戚朋友祝福，以象徵繁茂，豐盛，無限的繁榮，無限的力量。
陰與陽，天與地，天地人
太陽與月亮對人類有極具象徵的意義。
太陽 –赤，金，永生，男性，火。太陽不變的光輝代表男性的力量。
月亮 – 白，銀，再生，女性，水。產生潮汐的月光則與女性的力量相結合，被視為象徵大地之水孕育的生命力和豐饒力。
人體中凝聚著宇宙的力量
太極 – 陰與陽充滿活力的流動迴轉。
天圓地方，氣息相合，宇宙萬物。
上圓下方是中國人「天」與「地」的象徵，原始的宇宙概念。
紙是有自己厚度的三次元物質。鋪在桌上的薄紙乍看卻令人感到它是只有表面的二次元物質。但是我們把紙拿在手上，把它對摺再對摺，於是紙被賦予了生氣，紙得到了生命，馬上變成了有存在感的立體物質。跨頁的紙面連接起重疊的無數空間。這樣的整本書可以比作有生命的身體，人體與宇宙的延伸。
